Kiran is the only child of wealthy widower, Thakur. While she resides in Britain, her dad lives in a palatial house in rural India. When the time comes for her to return home, her dad arrives at the airport to receive and is surprised to see her in the company of a young man, who she later introduces as her husband, Suraj. Thakur overcomes his shock at seeing Suraj, but welcomes him. On the way while driving, Suraj sees a woman in white blocking the road, but the driver is unable to stop the car in time. They alight from the car and note that there is no one on the road. That night, Suraj has a dream about a woman clad in white who is summoning him to her, claiming that she is Nisha, his wife from a previous birth. Using her magical powers she inserts a nail in one of Suraj's legs on a new moon night.

A married couple Nisha Mathur and her husband Dilip Mathur, purchase a hotel in a scenic locale. In the beginning, no one comes to stay there, however, the hotel soon attracts several young couples; an ex-convict, who possesses some dark secrets out of Nisha's past; a police inspector who warns people against staying in this hotel; and a journalist Lisa. Public Prosecutor Vijay Kumar is the only son of Surinder Nath, who is the DIG of Police. Vijay is quite popular as the only Public Prosecutor to have succeeded in bringing down the crime rate, resulting in the highest number of convictions. He also gets to prosecute Abbas Mohamed Riyaz for killing Inspector Bhagwat and Sukhdev Walia, a former gangster. Abbas is tried, found guilty, and sentenced to be hanged. Then Vijay's girlfriend, Sapna, finds evidence that it was someone else who was responsible for these killings. Vijay agrees to represent Abbas, find the real culprit(s), and ensure that the sentence is overturned. Before that could happen, Vijay is himself arrested for killing a woman by the name of Neena, thus making Abbas' hanging a certainty.
